Transport and Access

Vehicular access is proposed via via a priority junction with Orton Lane. There is also the potential for a secondary access through to the adjacent development proposals (if required). A dropped kerb, tactile paving crossing point over Orton Lane is proposed by the southern parcel to allow pedestrians to access the footway on the eastern side of the carriageway. The existing pedestrian facilities on Orton Lane provide a route to nearby bus stops and amenities to the south of the site. A Transport Statement will be submitted as part of the planning application, which will provide full details on matters relating to access, accessibility, and traffic impact to demonstrate that the scheme is acceptable in transport and highway terms.
